Gah...I keep seeing this one, looks amazing.
Lucky you! lol
Glad you're getting some killer figs!

This is Vince #3.

Vince #2 has been a bit more stubborn.... Never seen #1. But it would seem, 3rd time's a charm!

@"TorontoJoe"#1  How long did it take your tree to start producing ripe fruit?  I found a cutting last year, my tree grow great for first year but no fruit yet. I was excited to try it but your pictures just make it worse.

I was just joshing… it’s technically an Unk. fig according to the post I read by Nelson. haha

(Please tell me you know of the Simpsons)

@"TorontoJoe"#1  is it always heart-shaped like that? @"DCallahan"#71 do you still think your Vince #3 is the real deal Hollyfield? I have a treasured collection of not Angelito's. I only know that they're ((not Angelito)) because Blue Malibu sent me some cuttings this summer, and one survived.

I never really noticed the heart before. I’ll keep a lookout on future figs. The weather is looking good so I should get some more

I have high confidence in my source for Vince #3.   I wish I had 2 more months of summer to prove out all these babies I started last winter.
I'm curious who sold you Angelito nots

Nice! Looks like it has some Adriatic traits (ripening well and sweet into cold weather), which is great for our colder climate with a short growing season. I am really looking forward to tasting mine next year. My tree is still small, about 3 feet tall, but not bad considering I had to re-root it in June and later in July it survived a split into two trees. Thanks again for sharing it with me! It has 6 scaffolds already, and should be a monster tree by next season with a headstart.

I started two Vince#3 cuttings last winter.
Both produced figs this summer.
Tonight I am eating the last one of the year.
Amazing, especially since I am in Mississauga Ontario

Vince #3 shot to the top of my list pretty quickly.

Another fig that doesn't get a lot of attention but grows really well for me is Bissirri #3 (I don't know why another 3). It produces a lot of bigger, sweet dark figs and is very early.
