Y'all must go through a lot of sauce! lol

Oh! Oh! Oh!

You know how sometimes things just pop into your head?

OK.... I was thinking about the word "y'all" and how I love it but could never pull it off.... (Italian living in the northeast)..... Then I realized there's a direct translation of the word y'all to Italian-American that I can totally use, very comfortably....

So henceforth you can expect me to use terms like, "You's gotta start making more tomato sauce" :D 🤌

what a beautiful site there Joe. Our family slowly ended the tomato tradition. I’m thinking of bringing it back I just need the extra motivation. It’s just so hard to make time these days. Enjoy all the fun.

It is hard.... I decided it had to be a priority. Sometimes people drop out. I committed to keep this up as long as my body will let me do it. Even if I end up doing this alone some day... I'll still do it

that’s dedication. You might have motivated me to start a small batch next year and take out my mother’s tomato equipment she left me to keep. We see. Have fun fratello.

I admire your dedication. Cool tradition.

Thank you. There's only so much I can do.. I have to pick the things most important to our culture. For sure, figs.... salumi, pomodori, cucuzzi.....

I wish I could go back to a time when this was just "something done at harvest"...... Nowadays, it seems its all "skip the dishes"... Although, it seems they cant take pasture raised hog and baby it for two years to make a craft salumi :) Just saying... there are NO shortcuts.

I think that is wonderful and awesome that you make this a priority. Keeping the traditions going. Who knows, maybe your son will continue with it? Although, I can tell it is a LOT of work and it is a lot to ask of anyone to keep this going.

My boy is right in there helping. All the kids really look forward to it. We just finished 266 jars. Averages just over 17 jars per bushel. Winding down for the night. We're just exhausted.....

More pictures to come.
