I crack the lid on the totes everyday to get a fresh air exchange, doing this, rot has almost been eliminated. I’ve got cuttings that have been in a tote since late Nov and they still haven’t rotted or rooted. That is an accomplishment
.
I’m not the biggest fan of figpops just because they add another uppot in the mix which can cause stress. I’ve had way more of these rot in my or get root rot then the hybrid fig pop method. The only reason I did figpops this year was because of room. I like starting with the 4x9 wrapped in a bag because that can get me 4-6 months down the road to either uppot, trade, or sell. It just makes things simpler.
