Tips of rusty gardening tools

Anyone have quick / easy fixes to rusty tools?

I lost my pruners a few weeks back and just found them today while putting tree containers into storage. Obviously they got really rusty but I ended up sharpening it up a bit and they still cut fine. Looking to see how I can remove this rust haha 😅
*here’s a thick Black Zadar cutting I’m going to root*

vinegar and steel woold or a rust remover + steel wool/someting abrasive. OR you could do electrolysis but thats a bit much for me

It’s super easy to fix.
Get a (non-metal) container and fill with ½ cup salt for each ½ gallon of vinegar.

Let it soak for 24 hours and then wipe with a paper towel. If you need more rust removed, can soak for up to a few days.

And holy crap that’s a huge cutting!

I didn’t realize that was a cutting beside the pruners 😳

Yeah it was pretty thick haha I’m surprised my pruners cut it clean actually. Here’s a shovel handle for reference 😂
