It has taken a lot longer than I thought, but we finally started the moving process. We are going to take all of our in-ground fig trees to our new home. I only have 2 trees left to pot up this weekend.

Thank you all who shared and sold us cuttings. It is so great to be a part of this wonderful community and have so many fig friends.

That’s a lot of work digging up trees especially if you lived here. Virginia is clay soil. Anyway moving is hard work and you deserve 5stars for that

I hope your new place works well for you! Having land can be a lot of work, but it is really nice to have the space.

We’ve been wanting to move for a while too, but it’s really hard giving up the land space. That’s our debate now— move to a city area where we don’t have as much work or find a smaller property size. Also stay in CA or move elsewhere. It’s hard! And it’s hard to know what areas are good to move to.

Glad you’ve been able to work it out though.

I agree. It has been a very difficult decision for the reasons you mentioned. What sold me is that I want to move to a place where I can also build a home for my parents. I would like them to retire and live with us.
