Looks too amazing not to be.![]()
When I read the word, "sunset"...it sent me back to a picture I took a few years back in Pizzo, Calabria. Figs growing wild everywhere... and the sunset over the volcano Stromboli is something one never forgets.
Did I mention there are loads of great, wild figs here?
I've travelled much of south Italy... I'm thinking now as to what areas have the highest density of wild ficus carica growing... Two regions come to mind....![]()
TWSSNo! Not tired! I need to live through you until I get back to Italy in July. Please keep it coming!
Please don't mention that fig. Or the "Finder". Much drama we don't need.@Figology; not at all meant as such!
I’m the one who named and introduced SoCal Sunset. I even posted seedling pictures and a back story.@Figology; not at all meant as such!
My sincere apologies @Figology! I do not AT ALL doubt your good intentions and authenticity (not to mention the fact that your SoCal Sunset DOES look beyond wonderful!). I was totally unaware that "that other fig variety" was such a touchy subject. It was just a bad joke on my end...I’m the one who named and introduced SoCal Sunset. I don’t sell figs, so why would you compare this variety to a variety someone is accused of renaming? That is a very disparaging topic to comment on my post. All of my unknowns are listed as such.
I appreciate your response. Thank youMy sincere apologies @Figology!
