TERAMO versus BROWN SUGAR CRUNCH

Could anyone who grows both weigh in whether those two are one and the same variety?
I could not find a definitive answer but I have a fleeting memory of someone saying that they are one and the same.

So many figs out there.
Some look and taste the same. But are not.
I was the first to say Holy Smokes was the same as Alma.
Guess what. My Holy Smokes is labeled as Holy Smokes.
It is possible with the 1000's of seedling's out there.
That two or three are almost identical.
So is HS the same as Alma?
It looks like it. Taste like it. But who really knows?

I grow both varieties and they are not the same. BSC has a more complex flavor and a nice seed crunch. The longer you let it hang the more brown sugar flavor you get. Teramo is a good fig but not on the level with BSC. Anyone I've heard say they are the same don't have both to compare.

Very interesting discussion. I've wanted to grow BSC for some time now, but have yet to get a cutting. Can't wait to add it to my home Orchard. All the reports are so deliciously positive.
