Soooo…. as I’m applied the stuff to some peppers and cucumbers I thought to myself, “I don’t know what others are talking about… I don’t think the stuff is particularly messy”… Then, it dried!

TIP: Avoid over spray!

I just took the hose to it…. Looked ok then when it dried it looked almost the same. I can see why it works… I may need to pressure wash the fence now. Maybe I’ll wait until the cuc’s are more mature. I guess from now on I’ll be putting some cardboard between the fence and the plant. Live and learn

It's Surround WP. Supposed to be amazing for keeping bugs off plants. It's super fine clay. I finally found one place in Canada that carries it. It's this stuff.

My wife could tell!

I used it on some plants in black planters in the front yard too... I had to wipe down all the plastic by hand to get it off.

Please report back on how well it works. Sure looks like it would mess with photosynthesis. But it might help with sunscald.

All reports are that it doesn’t mess with photosynthesis…. I don’t get how… but I’ll let you know

Is this similar to Kaolin Clay? Or is it the same thing, just brand name haha

White washing with Lime does the same thing. It doesn't look like you painted anything on the tree till it dries.

My understanding is that it is kaolin clay but the quality and refinement is much better…. I think that basically means that it’s a finer powder with less impurities.…

My wife and I are potters as a hobby. EPK or kaolin is pretty much the cheapest glaze and clay ingredient there is. It’s $.40 a pound in a 50 lb bag. When bought for pottery, it already comes ground to a certain mesh fineness. I think it’s easy to get 325 or 400 mesh. I thought of using it myself in years past, but never got around to it. If surround is pure kaolin then I doubt there’s much difference between pottery kaolin and what they’re selling.

According to this it claims to be 1.4 microns. Would that not make the equivalent mesh over 10,000? If it’s even possible….
