Spring is in the air

It's beautiful sunny warm day here. I planted some tulip bulbs around the October Glory tree. I see bulbs I planted last year breaking ground. Nice to see they survived the freezing winter we had. Garden bed looks great. Don't see any signs of the garlic bulbs yet. I did cover them with straw so they should be fine.

Those are awesome looking beds, Teresa - did you make them?

My husband did. Took him all of a few minutes with those corner blocks that all you do is slide the boards into the slots.
Yes, those blocks are relatively cheap and easy to install once you heft them out of the Lowe's or Home Depot over to your house. I've had these style beds and Birdie's metal raised beds. Have to say I like the cheaper DIY version better than Birdie's.

My more mature trees will be put outside this week and wont be going back in either the greenhouse or shed if there is any chance of freezing temps in the future.

Your back and knees will thank you.😊
2 years ago I beefed our beds up. I got tired of doing it the way we had and wife didn’t like it either so I made some concrete block beds. Took many trips to fill with soil but I love them. I haven’t even used them because I found figs that same year and haven’t looked back. Wife does garden, I do fruit trees.
