Spider Mites?

I recently purchased a few rooted cuttings and put them with a few of my plants outside of my grow tent. These are mostly 2' plants in tree pots. Today I notice red spots on them and on a few of my new trees that I recently moved out of my tent. I thought that spider mites that I needed to worry about were white, but these are red and stain you fingers if you rub the leaves they are on. There are LOTS of them on the leaves. I just sprayed all the leaves with NEEM oil, that is all that I have currently.

Are these spider mites? If so, I assume they are really bad for my plants. Is spraying with neem oil an affective solution to kill these? Luckily, I don't see any in grow tent.

Wow that's a really good pic, did you take that?

Those things populate fast so you have to be faster.
Are you seeing their webs?

yes, I have a little magnifying bluetooth device I can connect to my phone.

I did receive a plant that was a little spotty 2 weeks ago. I just thought it was a nutrient deficiency. It does have small webbing on some of the leaves now. I noticed tiny red spots all over a new CH that I grew in the tent and put with other larger plants around 4 days ago. I rubbed the leaves and noticed it stained my fingers red. That is when I broke out the magnifier.

I have around 10 trees in this area under 4' shop LED lights and they all look to have at least some mites on them. Based on what I could find online, I added a fan and put a small humidifier in with the plants. I also sprayed all the leaves with Capt Jack's Neem Oil. I checked everything again this morning. Yesterday the mites were everywhere and showing lots of movement. Today there looked to be much fewer and moving much slower. It's recommended that I'll need to spray every 5 days or so I can get all the different generations.

Here is a short video of how active they were yesterday.

That's so cool, they can definitely be resilient, a couple times though and battle should be won for now. lol
I find that outside they aren't really an issue because of preditors.
But.....outside as you know brings a whole new bunch of critters.
Aphids are extremely bad here. Gah!
