Interesting. The videos I have seen show the skins as lime green. These pictures are not even close. Maybe the growing location makes a big difference. As long as they taste good, it doesn't matter the color.

I noticed a difference in the figs in A-fig's video and NYCfiglover's video. In the A-fig video they look small and unimpressive but the NYCfiglover figs are huge with pools of honey. But the description at OTBP says "large fig" so maybe NYCfiglover's figs are a better representation. I think you are right though about location. Just pick a variety and do an image search and there is often pictures of them looking so different from one to the other. I guess location has a lot to do with it.

Yes location matters as I grow in 50% shade in a high tunnel. Younger trees are more closely spaced so they end up shading each other even more.
