got most from my WL, now will the root. lol thats a different story. What i noticed is a lot of these sales and other sites are sending out lots of green fresh wood.. so lets see
I feel this i have soo many this year that i never thought i would get praying they root. I got some green cuttings from big lauris in october they rooted wonderfully and grow like crazy.

I am 2 weeks into 50+ cuttings and nothing yet. lol I hope something happens soon so i dont loose my sht lol

What an amazing collection you got going this year. Happy rooting.
Me and a friend thats local to me collect, he gave me tons of cuttings this year like 35+ varieties, almost 100 cuttings, some small some big, i got almost all of them to root lost a few smaller ones and 2 to mold. THEN, i did a whole bunch of ones me and him both bought, sicilian 33 has been in for 18ish days and nothing im stressing everyday.(i shouldve grafted it). But a few varities have taken me a month so i keep telling myself itll happen. I have about 40 on the warmer. And still chesapeake otbp and kremp orders coming. I keep fearing my luck has run out just in time for all these good ones this year. I did graft green goblin and castagnat and seem to have worked. Probably 1k worth of cuttings still brewing

I finally caved.

How do y’all convince your significant others? My wife only lets me have 30 bc the cuttings just showed up in the mail and I’m about to watch the kids for a week while she visits friends in Canada lol.

Seriously though, I suspect it’s the ness and maybe watching you do that when she is mentally running through her honey-do list, but watching you spend time on figs instead.
I think it’s best to do while she is gone. Seeing some extra fig pops in an incubator is a lot less noticeable (if at all), than watching the process and having a huge tub of potting soil and all the potting paraphernalia strewn about.

She don’t even mind the rooting part too much. It’s seeing my trees grown and in buckets taking over the space that she frets about. Probably help my daughter has taken over every part of rooting except making holes in the plastic containers. I won’t let her mess with hot metal. The mess doesn’t help anything either if I’m being honest. I’m kinda messy and my daughter is really messy haha.
