SICILIAN 33

Is he going to need guard dogs now? šŸ˜†

@Drew351 PRO TIP: replace the Sicilian 33 tree tag with one that reads Brown Turkey
Joe this reply that you just made to Ktrain why did I receive a notification for it? Has nothing to do with me, wasn’t replied to something I posted. Ever since I tried to fix my preferences now I’m getting notifications for replies, reactions, quotes that are for other members. I only need notifications for posts that are directed towards my posts. I still can’t figure fix it.

You’re getting notifications for threads you’re subscribed to. Let me take a look when I get home later. We’ll get it fixed up.

To quote whimpy from Popeye ā€œI’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a Sicilian 33 todayā€.

Oh my God a $600 Sicilian 33 tree. This whole Sicilian thing it's got to stop. this Sicilian thing that's been going on for 2,000 years.

@Figless

We have a saying in the old dialect

"U sceccu chi si mancia a fichera u viziu si lu lava quannu mori."
Literally translated
"The donkey who eats figs is only rid of the habit when he dies."

Meaning, someone who has a bad habit will never give it up. An English equivalent … a leopard never changes it’s spots.

🤌 😬

Sicilian Reasoning

One lovely summer an italian couple go on holiday to Sicily with their two kids. They park their car close to the seaside, unload their swimsuits, towels and buckets and happily walk to the beach. As they sit down on the sand, Giorgio (dad) suddenly remembers that he left his sunglasses in the car. "Honey, I'll just go grab my glasses, I left them in the car. I'll be right back." He gets inside the car and shuts the door behind him and starts looking for them. He leans down to look under the seats and in the various compartments. As he does this he realizes the car is slowly raising in height on one side. Confused, he rolls down the windows and looks outside to see what's going on. A man, who apparently hadn't noticed the car was occupied, had lifted the vehicle with a car jack and was now proceeding to unscrew the wheels. Giorgio, having realized the man was obviously trying to steal them, yells "Hey! what the hell do you think you're doing?!" The thief looks up at him, pauses for a moment, then whispers with a reassuring tone " ok, ok. i take the wheels, you take the radio."

That can be arranged..... ;)
That is what I get for doing a post at 2 in the morning, because I was up way too late. Yes, I can represent western Sicily. Family comes from around Agrigento and Villafranca. Or the mainland, and the other part of the family comes from Lanciano, Abruzzo.

SOUNDS LIKE A VERY SHARING ISLAND ! I WILL TAKE THE CATALITIC CONVERTER .
We had somebody roll under our gate at our warehouse with a chainsaw and straight up used it to take the converter off one of our box trucks. They walked away with the catalytic converter and left the chainsaw. It was crazy fast, and we got the whole thing on video.

Agrigento? We're Palermitani... Are we even allowed to be talking? :ROFLMAO:

I really want to check out Abruzzo. Never been over to the Adriatic side.

Was it a good chainsaw?

You need to check out the Adriatic side. It is beautiful too. I've been down to Brindisi and all the way north to Venice and Trieste. I really recommend Marche, and the town of Loreto was amazing where we visited the Basilica della Santa Casa. I love Italy, and I've been very lucky to travel there for work. There are a few regions I could retire to.
