We are having a an out of sync heatwave and hitting 90 degrees today (usually mid 70s this time of year), so things are moving along faster in the garden, especially the peonies.

And the regal, 4’ ‘Beauty of Livermore’ poppies have made their arrival!

And a lot of pics of Rose Heart at the end (the extreme heat is making the blooms mature faster than usual).

It’s been quite the year so far - a cold Winter and a cool Spring with a few heat waves mixed in.

All I have in bloom now are my more established Peonies and an Azalea. My Irises, Lilacs, Camellia and Primroses and a few others are finishing up. Still a few more weeks until the Weigela, Roses, Wildflowers and others start to come on.

The late frost zapped the majority of the Camelllia buds, the early Rose buds and some Peony buds, but should still get decent flowers.

So beautiful. I need to get some flowers and things. I just recently moved into my first house and now that we have the sod my yard is so BLAND 🤣minus my beautiful fruit trees

Call me crazy but this is the same bumble bee i have in my yard day after day pollinating every flower she can find. Its quite impressive. I want to personally thank her for all the fruit 🤣😂
