Seedlings

I sprinkled on top of moist soil, then misted in and covered with a humidity dome in a warm location like 70-80. Once I saw the first few seeds pop up I moved to light and that worked extremely well with 80-90% or higher germination, some varieties for unknown reasons had zero germination but I’m thinking I had some not take pollination well causing that. I had germination within a few days on the earliest but majority started 5-10 days.

Nope unless my source got them from you. I also have LSU Scott Black’sxDC2.DC6 from the same person. So, I’ll have a 100% success rate.
These have to be from me originally lol, I don’t know of anyone else using that combination of pollen on the same crosses I made. Could you reveal your source here or pm?

Are there certain specific common types that are often crossed with a caprifig, or can you use whatever you want? If there are certain go-to figs for pollinating, how come?

No there isn’t a specific, basically you will only get common females if you used persistent male pollen. The status of the female doesn’t change the outcome as far as current research shows.
