It’s Vincenzo from Ben B.

Nice! That's The Vincenzo fig (as I've come to know it).

I already know it's suppsed to be a great fig (have one in a 2 gallon pot), but what traits does Vincenzo have that made you select it to want to use it to create a new seedling?

Did I hear someone say Rionon Santana is rare?!

LOL - technically it is at the moment and in the possible near future Europe will have access to it (fellow member left the States and moved to a well known European country with a pair of RS sticks).

I would say Jesus fig, but the true Jesus fig aka the 'striped version" - maybe 2 people have it in the US from what I've gathered.

Also Milco caprifig - maybe a couple of people have it still but they're civilians (no real online or social media activity).
I don't know anyone with the real Jesus/Oro striped version in the states. But the other two Jesus/Oro's are not to hard to find. Milco I still don't have but is safe along with a lot of the lettered Capri in the Gov repositories. So I guess many of those are rare. At least to us.

Maybe we can pool donations to award the repository some funds I the name of fig science and all we ask is for a few Milco cuttings - and possibly whatever else is worthwhile.

Man - I was sure I read about Striped Jesus being in the hands of at least one grower but maybe their plant died when Jesus was initially shared but instead sent all but that "one grower" the regular Jesus.

Cest la Vie!

Produces an abundant breba crop that rivals—if not surpasses—the main crop in quality. The brebas, rich with honeyed sweetness, ripen by mid-July, followed by the main crop in mid to late August.

Oh - yeah those are terrific traits!

I got mine solely based off the fact that it not only was great but also rare - didn't even look into it much because I was in my Fig Pokémon mindset - just grab and go onto the next one.

Man I will have to look around and see. The only ones I know in the states are the Jesus bianco and jesus rosato. Jesus = Oro. You know any college professor's? They should be able to order cutting's for the school. :)

From what I’ve learned, this is the information that Giuseppe Gaetani once published:

"Varietà Fracazzano multicolore. Adesso non può essere venduto per divieto a spostare queste piante a causa della Xilella dell'olivo. Nessuno dispone di questi rami o piante. Io non ho dato rami a nessuno. Non credete agli annunci falsi. A disposizione per qualsiasi chiarmento."

Translation: “Fracazzano Multicolore variety. Right now it cannot be sold because moving these plants is prohibited due to the olive Xylella. Nobody has these cuttings or plants. I have not given cuttings to anyone. Do not believe false advertisements. I am available for any clarification.”

This explains why Fracazzano Multicolore is considered one of the rarest figs and almost impossible to obtain. If you see someone selling this variety, make sure to carefully verify the origin, because it could be a fake fig.
Is Giuseppe the only person who has it?
It is the same as Fracazzano Rosso just with strips?
