Pruning time starts now!

I planted a new combo pear tree today. Also pruned 2 peaches, 2 Japanese Persimmons and my muscadines. Next time will work on blueberries. What I dread is a overgrown apple tree. It was ignored for years and started on it last year. Ever seen an old man fall off a ladder 😫 It won't be the first time.

i planted blueberries last year. they are dwarf varieties but i've never cared for them before. should i prune at this point or should i wait for them to get more mature?

If they grew pretty good I think a light prune would be good for them. With mine I try to keep 4 or 5 scaffolds coming out of ground. Just remove any older or misdirected ones first.
