First time hearing of this palmata."Panama Yellow"
Can't find anything about this plant, which I got years ago with the label "Panama Yellow", so not sure if it came from Panama, or whether the name is a misspelling. But the "Yellow"??? It is unlike any of the several palmatas I have, with a low, bushy, spreading habit.First time hearing of this palmata.
Love the palmata's. Have a few.
I am going to do some digging. Not sure I will find anything. But if I do. It came from a seller at a market in Thailand around 2017. He told me his brother-in-law was a pilot who flew all over the world and brought back figs cuttings for him to propagate. He knew nothing about this plant. All that was on the hand-written tag was PANAMA YELLOWNot seeing anything. Wonder if it was brought to Panama from India.
And some one just named it Yellow fig from panama?
Interesting. Trying to think if I know anyone in Thailand to ask.It came from a seller at a market in Thailand around 2017. I could mistake that one for mulberryHoraishi. This variety from Japan is a Common type, not a Palmata
Love the one with the red budSome of my favorite leaf pictures I’ve taken over the years!
