[Figology]

Thanks to the gracious gift from a friend last year, I was able to graft Planera onto one of my mature rootstocks. 

The flavor and texture brings hope for next season.

It’s a unique tasting fig, hard to describe and it’s not like most figs.

My favorite is whip and tongue but it’s more challenging. I often do cleft grafts for speed.

Ah okay...I usually try to stay with whats easy.
I should try some more complicated ones just to see if I can do it. lol

This fig was exquisite. Probably a top 10 for me. It even had a little bit of grape jelly flavor at the end.
