Last year was my first year attending this event. It is spectaular!!! It completely fills the convention center and all the extra rooms. I'd say 2/3 is exhibits, competition, and displays and the rest is high-end retail dealers and product displays. It is amazing the plants and displays that are produced for this Mid-winter event. It isn't a cheap ticket but Id say its a must see event for the garden and Plant enthusiasts. Ticket prices vary on the day and time of the day you attend. For those that would visit from outside of the Philly area. The Reading terminal market is right across the side with its world-famous food offerings.

Philadelphia Flower Show Information

The Philadelphia Flower Show is an annual event hosted by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It is one of the largest and oldest flower shows in the country, dating back to 1829. The show typically takes place in early March and spans several days, showcasing stunning displays of flowers, plants, and garden designs.

Each year, the show has a specific theme that guides the design and presentation of the exhibits. Visitors can expect to see elaborate gardens, floral arrangements, landscape designs, and educational exhibits. The Philadelphia Flower Show attracts thousands of visitors, including gardening enthusiasts, professionals, and tourists from around the world.

Apart from the visual displays, the event often includes workshops, lectures, and demonstrations on gardening techniques, floral design, and environmental conservation. It provides a platform for vendors to showcase gardening products, tools, and services, making it a comprehensive experience for anyone interested in gardening and horticulture.

In addition to being a celebration of horticulture and floral artistry, the Philadelphia Flower Show also serves as a fundraiser for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's programs and initiatives aimed at promoting gardening, greening, and environmental stewardship in the Philadelphia region.

I used to go yearly with my Grandmother, but haven’t been back the last 15-20 years. Definitely agree that it’s spectacular. Longwood Gardens is another great visit in the area throughout the growing season.

Longwood Gardens is great!!, and if someone comes from outside the area they should try and get there too. I hear they just completed a big rehab project before the Christmas show.

Kremp has a very large booth with their Florist business. They do a build your own bouquet with cut flowers

I was just at Longwood last week for a concert in the Conservatory. It was one of those killer cold nights so we didn't explore much, but the Conservatory was a great setting for the concert. Their outdoor concert series in the summer are also lots of fun.

That first time you see the Philadelphia Flower Show is always special. I still remember being in awe of what they can build inside a convention center and have fond memories of going with my mom.

That's awesome, I believe there is something like that around Atlanta, but I really really don't like going into Atlanta. lol
