OMG My Smith Has Rooted

My one-year-old Smith recently woke up. It has been weeping from the pruning cut I made in December and the new leaves are pale green with a ridge of blue green around their rims. We'll see what happens....

Seal that cut if you can with tree wound sealer.

And the produce type bags from the meat section of the grocery store are usually bigger than the veggie ones ... And thanks @ktrain for letting me know I will have to have patience for smith fruits - now I won't be disappointed unnecessarily

And label label label... I have one unknown because I turned my back on it .. could be an unknown Portuguese could be raspberry latte .. actually could be anything.. but I would have had a lot more if I wasn't using the wrap around vinyl ones now. The little whit sticks get lost so now I have a vinyl and metal on on every single one

I used containers from all sorts of food, from large fast food drinks to as small as the Jello pudding Cups. They make great seed starters. That white container is a Food Lion sour cream container.

My wife and kids eat a lot of a potato soup so mine is a mix of soup containers, fast food cups from my wife and pop bottles from the wife and kids lol. Pop bottles kind of suck except for 1l Dr Pepper bottles. They work pretty well/easy to remove the cuttings.

And if you don’t break them during up potting you can use again next year.

Oh man the Dave Thomas cups lol. Maybe a study on which fast food cup roots cuttings best is needed.
