No leaves? No worries!

I have been seeing a lot of posts online about people worried that their cutting is not growing any leaves, but does have roots.

I used this cutting as an example of having a lot of roots, but practically no green growth:

This Capri Q was an atypical cutting, whose top is a gnarled wood knuckle, if you will. No visible potential buds prior to 2/14, just looked like a large wood knot.

Fig popped on 1/20, pic taken 2/14, so it’s just a baby, but look at these amazing roots!! but had been very, very slow to break bud and just finally showed its first bud on 2/14.

Fast forward only 5 days…leaves!!

So don’t worry if yours has good roots, but practically no leaves or it just has a single green bud like mine. With good roots, when it’s ready, it will happen!
