That’s exactly what these planters are designed for!! Well maybe not an air pruning pot but to put a potted plant in and change out with the season. However, you know me!! I wanted to put my build to the test!!! They are holding up amazingly!!!! I am very happy!! But to your point……it would be 10 times easier to move come winter!! I just put 5 on a dolly and moved to garage for tonight. It wasn’t bad but if I could have just pulled the drip tubing out, then pulled the pot out of planter…..that would have been easier!! Lol!! Future goals!!!You should build one and keep it hollow so you can drop an air pruning pot inside. Beauty on the outside and science on the inside.
I know for real right...Absolutely man thank you, yeah I will be in touch, all of this has me thinking of all the scrap pieces or the ugly ones I threw out over the last 6 years, that i could have made single node cuttings out of, my gosh!!!
I just uploaded a video of rooting 40 single node fig cuttings on my YouTube channel.@goodnessatlanta, I love watching your Youtube channel. I learned a lot in the past. I was impressed by the rooting of your single node cutting. Keep us up-to-date on the progress! Thanks Ben.
That’s awesome. Good job@FiggyEd @GoodFriendMike Quick update on the Angelito #SingleNodeChallenge cuttings. I have them in clear pots so I can see roots and they were stuck on 1/30. Today being 2/15. we are just over two weeks. Each of these were between 200 and 220 grams on the 30th and I am watering back to weight on Fridays and Tuesdays. Everything is on heat mats with temp set to 78 degrees. So, in the clear pots I can see only one root but that is a great sign. I think! Lol! Over half of these are now showing little tiny buds. My hope is they have spent the last two weeks getting roots going they just haven’t reached the sides of the pots yet. The sand……well I see no roots. The buds seem to be swelling and one is even opening but there are no roots showing anywhere.I am regularly checking the sand for moisture and spritz these daily. My last sand props did the best with neglect. Lol!! Maybe I should stop helicoptering over here and let them do their thing?
Just wanted to give a 2 week update. Not sure what @JaysfigsTx or @goodnessatlanta have going. I know Jeremy put a bunch in sand and Root Riots. Hopefully we get an update soon! Would love for all 3 of us to give away 20+!!!
