My Spring Grafting Process Finished

I plan to do a few grafts this year. My trees are waking up. I start this week or next week.

Will do!! Another question though. In east Texas it is already warming up. My potted fig trees are beginning to wake up. When is the best time to start a graph? I would assume soon as the tree begins to wake up?

Right now for you. Remember when the rootstock branch is budding out those have to be removed. The energy has to be focused on the scion.

Yes! You’re still braver than me. Grafting is the one technique I have not tried because I just don’t feel confident. I did however do air layer.
