Mulberry cuttings

It's my second batch. The first batched I did like fig pops but life got busy and I left them in the bag to long and they died. Out of the 10 mulberry cuttings only one Valdosta survived. I'm not going to let these die..... hopefully :ROFLMAO:

I heard the Australian green won't root on it's own. I would recommend you either graft it onto an existing tree or a cutting.

I was able to graft it onto a California white mulberry cutting around March. It's over a feet tall and pretty floppy. I need to stake it to keep it upright.

I don't really have anything good enough for root stock currently. Jan is rooting some now and I don't mind gambling seeing if I can as well. I tried rooting Girardi Dwarf earlier this year and lost that battle. I'm hoping for good results with this latest batch. Both Pakistan and Australian Green will be the hardest to root.

Graft onto one of your extra cuttings. Or if a cutting is long, cut it in half up use as a roostock.

You only need 1 bud above the soil, two is usually safer.
