My most hated fig LOL I have so many candidates. I am not a big fan of any fig that spends its time languishing in my pity corner. This is usually the front row of 5 gallon up potted figs that hangs around the front entrance of my Greenhouse. Both my water tanks are there Plus the most comfortable chairs. I often spend a lot of time wishing them well, and pruning them into the sad looking little whips they are.. all three of my Black Maderia live there. My 3 Blue Celeste's take up quite a bit of the two rows behind them. My Black Ischea, and one little Thermalito. This poor benighted Fig had what look to be a terminal case of rot between the lignified bark, and a weak looking cambium layer. Somehow amazingly it outgrew it. It's the only fig tree I have that ever survived this type of rot. I also have a Malibu Greek unknown the only cutting I have ever planted upside down. This poor devil is the longest resident of the pity corner. When a fig tree departs from the pity corner in a box, or with renewed health they remove themselves from the most hated list. There is a third way to get off the list which is to have so many requests for cuttings that they are taken down to a few inches above the soil line. My Blue Celeste's have certainly earned respect by providing so many members cuttings. That were heavily desired. Meanwhile my Green Ischea has grown out of the pity Corner earning my respect. BTW if you have a very vigorous Blue Celeste that pleases you consider sending me a couple of cuttings. I am hopefully successfully rooting a Jolly Tiger, another gift from
@MattK. Hopefully it will stay out of the pity corner so I can give
@GoodFriendMike some healthy cuttings.
