At least for a week (before property tax comes due) one can be happy he is in Cali.

I pay the highest taxes of anyone on my entire 1 mile road.
It's crap I tell you! lol

Definitely a late year for me. Most local growers are experiencing the same. The long term forecast is good for the next two weeks so I'm hoping to play some catch up....

What a selection!

Most of mine have hit their sophomore slump so didn't produce figs even though they are 4 ft or taller.

What nobody wants my short season?

Very nice handful of figs.

Hey there @Tinyfish ! This is awesome seeing familiar faces here.

Any luck with the seedlings (Girsh pollen)?

Nice selection and 100% what an in-ground fig should look like. It’s hard for me to get a nice plump fig like that in containers.

Nice to see you too and I'm doing well as I hope you are.

I hope to provide some more recommendations with the new varieties I acquired.

Its great seeing all the names we're familiar with here.

The pollen worked great last season. Maybe not 100% pollination rate but alot of the seeds sunk when tested. My orchard ran into major problems this season so sadly I didn't ask for more pollen because it wouldn't be needed. But keep me in mind for next year.

I did save seeds from pollinated Improved Celeste and Florea but couldn't germinate them. I have some more to start

@"CA-Orchard" beautiful looking bunch of figs. They cannot all have been caprified? I would think you couldn't fit that many in one hand. As usual all your figs look fantastic, adults only photogenic fig p***.

Let me know!

@figless When figs are left a few days after shriveling up, they get smaller and lighter. For fresh eating, I would normally pick them earlier while they are juicier. For freezing, at this stage they do not need further dehydration to preserve flavor and texture.

@CA-orchard thank you for getting back to me. BTW must I always refer to you as CA Orchard? My name is Greg by the way. I shortened my name to Figless since I am a first month member here.
