Let's Get Grinchy

A Very Grinchy Christmas Giveaway

For this Christmas, I think fig fanatics should experience a little Grinch perspective too. And how does this Grinch do Christmas? Let’s just say this Grinch believes in playing the long game. I am going to put together a package of 10 cuttings to give away to one lucky (or unlucky) member.
  • The Grinch’s Giveaway will be posted on Christmas Eve.
  • Interested members just have to post in the Christmas Eve Giveaway thread the following statement: GRINCH ME!
  • A winner will be randomly chosen from the interested members.
  • The winner will receive 10 fresh cuttings of various taste profiles. Shipping is on me.
  • What the winner won’t receive are the immediate names of the 10 cuttings they receive. Each cutting will only be marked with a number, from 1 to 10.
  • Consider this giveaway a long term incentive plan. The winner will only be given the decode on or after Christmas Day 2026*, when I will message them. Lore has it that the Grinch’s heart is likely to grow three times that day, after revealing the cultivar names. Unfortunately, a winner who leaves the forum before receiving the decode is left with complete unknowns.

I know, I know. You’re a mean one, Mr Grinch…….And, Who Ville be the winner?

If there are any other Grinches out there who may also want to provide this type of long term incentive package, please feel free to run a complimentary Grinch Giveaway of your own. More recipients increases the likelihood of continued forum participation.

*The intent is to keep members engaged on the forum and not just provide a “free, then flee” approach to this giveaway.
That is awesome! That will keep someone thinking for a while. Lol

SO BAD IT'S GOOD!

A whole year to pamper those sticks before you are kindly informed that they are Uncle Guðmundur's Unk #1-10 🧌
(all of which he brought on the boat from the Northern tip of Iceland when he came to America).
Well... you can always use them as rootstock for some good ole Brown Turkey scions I guess... 🤣

So Uncle Unk is cold hardy in Iceland and don’t die back. I’ll take them in a heartbeat.
