I thonk it will likely be a mix. Some known winners, some underrated. Maybe.I cannot believe that varieties in this contest would be low tier types after growing these cuttings for a full year. That would be too cruel after all the effort the winner puts into the cuttings. Especially when you have to wait a couple of years to get decent fruit off the trees. I think these cuttings will be extra special because it is Christmas. The Grinch may be tricky with his choices because the winner will be trying to identify the varieties on his/her own before 2026 is over. At least I know I would. Lol. The clue is his heart grows 3x bigger after Christmas. So the Grinch may have some extra special varieties hidden away somewhere in his greenhouse.
For the sake of transparency, the cuttings in the Santa’s Reindeer Games come primarily from Nina and Rocco. Their donations gave the program nearly 100 different varieties to distribute to our members. I supplement with some additional varieties from my collection.Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. Opiem10 has put in some unique varieties. I tried doing researching on them and with a few I found nothing online.
That sounds like so much FUN! ...but holy cow!... How in the world do you guys come up with this stuff?... You are so hilarious!![]()
Nah, California BT would be the worst Chicago is actually tasty. CBT is just for rootstock lolAwesome concept. The most grinch move would be giving the winner 10x Chicago hardy cuttings.
