I almost forgot December 21st was the winter solstice. We’re gaining 1 minute of daylight every day. In just a few months our fig trees will begin waking up for the new season.
Always a good way of thinking about it... I'm sick of winter alreadyI almost forgot December 21st was the winter solstice. We’re gaining 1 minute of daylight every day. In just a few months our fig trees will begin waking up for the new season.
Don’t forget, the 21st is not only the solstice but it’s the 1st day of winter. It’s only actually just beginning. In my life’s experience January is the coldest month of winter but February is the BANG SHOT month of winter. Soon as you think winter is starting to wind down all of a sudden BANG a surprise BLIZZARD always hits. A storm of a decade size blizzard. Never turn your back on February. Ahhh the joys of winter. We haven't really had any substantial winter to speak of here in my area of Indiana. Hoping we get a little snow at some point, but so far it's been relatively warm and wet, and the outlook still is warmer rather than cooler.
So the need to glass your eggs during summertime and fall.I'm ready for the warmth, I find the older I get the less I like the cold.
And my chickens have slowed down on the egg production....for the first time in years I had to go buy eggs before Christmas.
Right you are! Also I have been freeze drying eggs...so easy. lolSo the need to glass your eggs during summertime and fall.![]()
Us too but our chickens molted this fall. They looked so funny, for a minute I thought they were those naked neck chickens. HahahaI'm ready for the warmth, I find the older I get the less I like the cold.
