Just moved 250 trees

Also Goumi (Elaeagnus hybrid) - I like Tillamook. Bigger berries smaller seeds. For the Saskatoons (Juneberries, Serviceberries) - Autumn Brilliance for fruit and display more treelike but medium in size. Smokey for best tasting fruit - more bush like.
I'll check those out thanks!

It's a stellar fig.... for me needs a decent head start... that's a beauty specimen you have there!

More trees where those came from :)
Always looking for new varieties! Send me a list of what you got, no rush. Not sure when I can make it out there next. Lots on the go right now.

I recently moved around 250 trees (185 varieties) to my new home in Paris, Ontario (zone 7b). This weekend, I pulled 70 trees out of the ground from my Figgatorium. Next year, I plan to plant as many as possible, using an espalier method to keep them low and easier to cover during winter.

I bought this property specifically to start a fruit orchard. Along with figs, I’ll be planting about 100 additional fruit trees of various types and varieties. What’s everyone’s favorite fruit tree (besides figs)?

Wow! That’s a whole lotta beautiful trees. You sure have enough land for them. You deserve a 5 star rating .🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow! Very cool! I will definitely be following along.

You already covered pawpaw and persimmon pears. Not sure how mulberry would do there, but I’m just starting to try a few here.

Mulberry does very well up here and the right varieties require no winter protection. We had a tree in the family years ago that was two stories high and produced like crazy. The birds got what was on top... we got to eat from the lower half :)

Yes it does I bought one about 3 years ago and started giving me fruit this summer. I've kept it in a bucket though will be putting in the ground in the spring.

I just got some gooseberry plants this year - not trees obviously and I don’t have any idea what they taste like yet but I’ve read they’re quite low maintenance and after the first couple years you get lots of production for jams / jellies, pies, fresh eating etc

@James How long are you letting your chicken manure sit before using?
I have a hill I dump it on when I clean out the coop which is 10x20.
Usually sits there for a season before I use it.
