It's so sad...

I have several too. Yesterday I picked some early that I knew wouldn’t ripen and ate the middle out of them. Some were very grassy tasting and some were actually pretty good. All had pretty tough chewy skin. I had some that tasted like cherry that I thought were delicious.

Those VDB in bottom picture look ripe but they are hard as rocks. I purchased that tree from Lowe’s.

I know, it's a bummer. Some years are better than others but I never ripen 100% of my figs.

As it is, this year was worse than most. The super cold spring held a lot back.

Ive been staring at my kadota that thinks its spring right now it has figs on it too, sad
I have a Celeste like that. It has started a new season. In late summer all the leaves had rust and fell off, and I picked some of them off. This pic is from two weeks ago and those are all new leaves and it's forming new figs.
