Hi everyone, it’s been a while.

Congrats to Torontojoe for making his own forum, he’s always been an even tempered and funny guy. I can appreciate and follow a leader like him.

As for me, I’ve been busy with life. I recently remodeled my entire kitchen, over the course of 3 months. My kids are full time in soccer and martial arts which leaves little time for my hobbies. I got rid of a couple hundred potted figs and even donated close to 50 to an OF member’s food forest. I’m down to about 100 varieties and will probably be down to 60 after this season.

Here’s a look at my 2024 season.

Dude, good to see you man...only been like 12 years.
Hope all this time has been treating you well.

Still ripening those perfect looking figs I see...nice!

Dang, 2024 looks amazing over there!

It's been awhile, since I had... figs to stuff my face, but I can still remember just the way they taste.

Good to see you Kev.

TBH, I've lost 20 figs for every 1 fig that was photo worthy.

Good to see you. I thought about you as I drove past your area on the way to Palm Springs earlier in the year. I thought: "That's one heck of a commute to Santa Barbara"

It sure was - I was white knuckling it the whole time thinking my car was gonna have issues but I just HAD to get Girsh and meet Phil.

Hello Anthony,
Good seeing you here. Sounds like you are "good busy".

Good to see you MSG. Looks like you’re still representing California figs to the fullest!

Good busy and trying to limit my social media presence. I closed my Instagram accounts, had been on there for 13 years. It was time.

I practically stopped adding but the number of hours that I can afford for the garden is no longer enough. Serious scaling back is in order!

I’m hoping for a few great inground trees and looking to get rid of all my pots. It’s such a chore to maintain and the fruit doesn’t taste as good.

As usual, AWESOME pictures!  Those look great.  And I understand busy!  Glad you're here.

Thanks Randy.

How did your Smith turn out this year? Mine wasn't great last year but was excellent this year.

Do you still have Byadi? I think I recall a few years back you mentioned it being among your favorite honey figs. Over on the other site I learned that the name Byadi is a generic name for yellow/white honey figs in the Middle East. I got mine from OTBP and trying to determine if it’s the same one others grow.
