Looks like something small is munching on it. What is the webbing at the base of the fig in the first picture? Spider or spider mite?

I had spider mites on one of my My Etnas and the damage looked very similar. Spider mites seem to love hairy Mt Etna figs… get yourself an inexpensive 20x - 60x microscope on Amazon and you can easily confirm. If you see necrotic spots, that can be as a result of FMD caused by FMV.

Looks like mites probably red spider mites with that webbing I'd guess they aren't the good kind.

I agree with these fellas, insecticidal soap worked well for me.
