How do they keep these true to type if they’re seedlings?
but had that since early March came from NY shipper

The ones you get at the store are grafted. Seedlings I don't think are true to type.
But never had a bad one. Some sweet some sour. But all good to me.

I figured since people grow pawpaw from seed maybe there was more to it

The older areas of south Louisiana have some pretty good sized Loquat trees. And you will find seedlings in many yards. Either from fallen fruit or squirrels. I have grown many from seed and given them away. As my dad says. "it is an underrated fruit"I figured since people grow pawpaw from seed maybe there was more to it
Here most know them as Japanese plums. They are very cold hardy as well. Not sure if they could handle Canada cold. But you never know.

Thought about pawpaw tried it but hanging raw meat for better pollination kinda turn off
As a person who hangs a lot of raw meat…. Maybe worth a try!
In 6a never tried one and would love to travel south to check the trees citrus tropical but barely drive 30 minutes to work at my age

It had me at “yellow secretion with bad odour”. Now I hit them with my electric mosquito zapper
