IF someone buys from you on figbid and they live like 30 minutes away, do you still mail it or just drive it over?

I'm in this conundrum right now. is it weird if i drive it over and drop it off? I dont want to like... not have tracking or whatever but its safer for the plant to not have to go through the post system.

I would be extremely weirded out if someone showed up randomly. Definitely ask first and it might be better to meet at a mcdonalds or something

haha i mean they give the address when they ship! surely they noticed theyre 1 town over. but yeah i mean i did ask. it just feels like weird to mail something 30 minutes away

Otherwise, i think it depends on shipping cost. Cuttings are around $10 or less to ship and easy - I would not drive 1/2 hour to save that... potted trees on the other hand, different story. If driving, maybe see if you can sell more - then it's more worth the drive.

its 3 different potted tree pots. which is why im like. theyre looking paying probalby 30 bucks for shipping

Simple - ask the buyer: $20 and I drive it there guaranteed delivery, or $30 for UPS shipment, which may get routed through Alaska and the Philippines before it arrives at your destination!

Id ship it, its the terms of the sale, unless they asked for another arrangement beforehand.

There's no correct answer. I think if you feel safe meeting the person then perhaps arrange to meet them somewhere.

You may be ok with the buyer picking up... but you may not want to share your address unless it's someone you already know.

@DCallahan is spot on.... you probably should stick to the shipping as described in the listing.

i would let them know..hey yo..i am 30 mins out from you..you wanna meet me somewhere and pick this up in person as opposed to mailing them? Most people would be eager to pick it up playing into that fast gratification vs waiting and the risk of mail getting lost etc etc...
