I know we've had a few posts like this coming out of the north east but it's such a different experience I had to share. Coming into the fall I was pretty bummed that so many of my figs wouldn't have time to ripen.... I never would have believed that on November 6th that I would be picking figs... and good figs, not just bitter stragglers. Most of these are I-258 from the in-ground. If this weather holds for another few days there should be a lot more. 

We can't even eat all these. I suppose I'm making jam this weekend.

There may be a few more stragglers but with cold weather setting in (not freezing but pretty chilly) Today's is likely the last good haul. It's gonna be a monster fig-jam tomorrow.... making... um... fig jam.

Wow what an amazing, and photogenically delicious looking hoard of November figs. I wish I was feasting on them, they all look so scrumptious.
