I thought you might like to see the Unk Prosciutto progress since in the pic that I previously posted there were only a few small roots. You are partly to blame for Unk Prosciutto being my most wanted cutting. Yes, I do have two of them rooting.@ETXfigs I want you to promise me you'll post the first time you try a ripe prosciutto..... They're so figgin' glorious!

If they have some small roots forming and the cuttings don't look like they are shriveling up then maybe they are just being slow. You are right about the learning process. I usually have to do things several times atleast before I get good at it. I have roots but they are a long ways from being a success. So many things can still go wrong.one of mine has some top growth but yeah, i put some rooting hormone in. i think they were pretty fresh. if they fail they fail its part of the learning prcoess. they all definately have some signs of roots forming just very early ones
For mold, I just give it a spritz with hydrogen peroxide, like the pic. If the mold is just from too moist an environment, that will clear the topical mold up. If the mold is from a cutting going bad, it will not be enough to stop the downward descent.I am. There was some mold in one so I removed the bag to try and dry it out a little.

it was mostly on the wooden popsicle stick that had the cuttings name on it lolFor mold, I just give it a spritz with hydrogen peroxide, like the pic. Those 2 pics are 2 cuttings. He sent me 8 cuttings of 4 varieties. 2 cuttings of each variety and 1 of each pair of cuttings is an apical cutting, so one of the Unk Prosciutto cuttings is 1/2" thick, maybe thicker at the bottom. The other one is the apical so it's not as thick, but about 3/8" at the bottom.I accept the blame, proudly! Roots look great! Nice and thick..... What's the diameter of that cutting?
