House wrap and Straw

With temperatures approaching freezing this morning, I opened up one of my fig covers. No moisture buildup and it was actually quite warm given the last week had lows in the single digits. As can be seen, breba are already starting to form. I placed a black construction trash bag over the housewrap before the snow came that I’ll have to remove in the coming days once temperatures start to rise so the tree doesn’t bake. Other pictures are of a few other varieties that didn’t get protection. AJH is definitely smoked, but the others look good so far. Still a few months too early to claim success.
