Home for Christmas

I listened to the warnings given here and brought home my classroom figs. They are resting on a heating mat resting on a double layer of cardboard laying on a 1.5" foam board. The temp is set to 73F.

They are surrounded by 1" foam board with a shop light overhead and mylar space blankets around the whole thing. A remote sensor laying on the cups tells me the air temp is 66F.

They looked dry when I brought them home, so I injected 60 ml of water two days ago. Water was infused with Mosquito Bits and had 1/8th of a teaspoon of Miracle Grow fertilizer per gallon.

So the question is now: When should I remove the plastic bags? I have a couple with shoots emerging from below the soil and so I removed those bags. It seems like I can get a better read on the moisture level of the soil and a clearer view of the roots with the bag removed.

Seems like it's time to let them breathe? What do you think?

Most look ready to start the process. I'm a newbie, but getting ready to start the process myself. Everything I've read says to do it gradually so they get accustom to the new environment. I plan on cutting the rubber band, loosening the collar, opening the bag, then removing the bags over a 48-72 hour period.
