One would think that much of a temperature difference with no light it would at least noticeably delay the figs in that area.It’s like they all instinctively know the weather is going to change and spring is imminent. I have 3 vastly different areas where the figs are, and even though one area has no light and is 20+ degrees colder than the other areas, all the figs throughout the house knew exactly when to start a growth spurt!

I gave our son a VdB in 15 gallon pot last summer. He stored it in cool basement over winter. I pulled cover off it Wednesday and it had 3 figs on. One was as big as my thumb.I know, right?
It’s shocking. The ones in the warmer sunroom I have more leaf growth than the one in the very cold laundry room, however, interestingly, they both suddenly ramped up their rate of leaf growth at the exact same time.
