Help! I Just Brought Home a Truck Bed Full of Cuttings

That’s for dormant cuttings. Not all of these are dormant yet, and fresh cuttings have a higher success rate when potted up quickly.

Will you define "quickly"? I still need to get my potting mix ready and buy a larger heating mat. Do you think it will be ok to wait until the end of next week?

It all depends on how close they are to dormancy, but from the pics, the leaves looked pretty fresh. But the better lignified ones can last longer.

I try to get my fresh cuttings in asap, but when shipped in a baggie to retain moisture, it has been 5 days and they have been fine. However, I have noticed a significant drop off after 7 days.

I highly suggest this heating mat - it is 4’ long, and was recommend by my fruit farmer friend. I have it and it’s much higher quality than others I have seen, and now it’s 60% off and only $15!

If it were me, I’d prioritize getting them in soil asap and get the mat later if need be. Amazon delivers pretty darn fast.
