Harvey’s sale

NEEDS ANOTHER YEAR OF TESTING ! BUT JANET'S UNK. IF IT PERFORMS THE SAME UNDER IDEAL CONDITIONS AS IT DID WHEN GOPHER GIRDLED WILL BE THE MOST CHERRY FLAVORED OF ANY FIG !!!!!!!! TRY A LUDEN'S CHERRY COUGH DROP FOR A EXAMPLE OF HOW IT TASTED ON IT'S LAST GASP. I MIGHT GROW A BUNCH IN GROUND JUST TO GIRDLE THEM TO RE CREATE THAT FLAVOR (KILL ONE TREE EACH FALL ?)

Having never attended one of Harvey’s cutting sales, do I need to be there as soon as the sale starts? What range of prices can one anticipate? Is the selling interface/shopping cart automated and easy to use or is it clunky?
Good questions I never attended either

I’m interested to hear more about this one. Both the girdling test and the cherry flavor. Sounds like a good one.

superdave336 : GREAT STORY? or GREAT FIG? that's the question ! Alot of the time the STORY gets way ahead of the FIG hence the another year of testing .OTHERS are also testing her in other zones .

Not sure I got cherry or cherry cough drop off Janet's UNK. But it is definitely a keeper, one with a refreshing, distinct taste from hundreds of figs. Friend with hundreds of figs, who culls figs regularly, also agreed it is a keeper. No gopher or girdling here. :) Just hot texas sun.

Those in cold climates, are you worried about cuttings being damaged on the road? My area temp is consistently below 10F.
Absolutely, I just requested a delay in shipment with a Figbid Seller to avoid this cold spell. Last year about this time I lost ten cuttings because they were delayed in shipment and froze over. Fortunately, the Seller replaced them for me.
