Yes, thicker grafts, I have done a few fat and ugly (albeit succesfull cleft grafts) up to 1.3 inch diameter. I also prefer the grafting knife with hard wood like pomegranate. With small prunus or green avocado scions, I prefer the utility knife. I am starting to test my skills with whip and tongue, but not on anything importantYou mean for scion thickness? I’ve used these for whip and tongue, Z-grafts, and banana grafts and they worked well, but I generally do not graft anything larger than about 1-inch diameter. May depend on technique as well.
