Grafting knife recommendations

Sorry... guess I'm tired... can you send me the link?

Sorry was reading about knives now

i guess you don't have to move it--there it is!

Is this limiting in that you need to work from one direction primarily? Are they typically beveled on one side or the other by default?

Concerning one sided beveled knives, if you use your left hand more you want a leftie, if you use your right hand more than you want a rightie.

Here's a good video on grafting knives

Been using this for mangoes and avocados this year and like it. Get about 10 or so grafts and then change blades. $20 on Amazon.

This type of knife is what I'm used to from my decoy carving days.
I'm excited to give her a spin with some pear and apple grafting in the next day or two.

I've seen these but I can't help to think it looks like a prison shank!

I have some Japanese secateurs (shears), and they are absolutely worth every penny. Use them once and you're like Oh my what have I been doing all these years??

You seem to know a lot about prison shanks

I love Japanese carbon steel and the edge you can get on blades. I find it a bit too light for for kitchen knives. I’m so used to German and Italian knives to I feel I lose control. whenever I pick up my Kikuichi I worry I might cut myself
