Grafting for dummies

I assume it is pretty warm where the graft is and everything else is growing?

I ditched my grafting tool after 3 uses, as it was too limited for my needs. I need something that help me graft what I have instead of finding pairs of wood that work with the tool. I often didn't have much choice on scions and rootstocks.
I agree. I use the W+T method for about 95% of my grafts, and only switch to the V-cut on the tool when I’m working with a short scion.

It’s in a south facing window on a table over the heat vent. So probably a few degrees above room temperature. It also has a light on it.

The tool is definitely limiting… but when everything lines up correctly, it makes quick work of it
