Houttuynia cordata commonly known as Fish mint. Is an invasive species in some areas that is edible and pretty.

Speaking of real mint. I need to grow peppermint and pineapple mint again. Been a few years since I grew them.

I have seeds for some kind of Mountain Mint....I'll find it but it looked good.
Probably do that this year.

It is very fishy smelling and tasting. Acquired taste. But something a little different to work with.

I can't remember what kind of mint I smelled last year, but it was like WHOA and I told the wife I don't know what kind of mint that was but nothing like I'm familiar with in the scent arena. I know it wasn't fish, something else maybe super peppery or spicy--I can't remember.
