You are correct about advertising on fb and realizing how those groups have members that aren’t there to learn about figs was careless of me. I am hoping new members that have joined don’t have ulterior motives in this forum. My apologies if I have upset anyone.

I'm not upset in the least. We expected that it would be posted on FB etc. And I agree with Mike. There will always be bad apples.... but there are many you could really benefit from being part of a community.

There is no issue with people clicking on the link on fb. I think the concern is getting scammers on this figfanatic.com and they have been lurking on fb fig groups. There is no vetting process except to answer simple questions like why do you like to grow figs, which zone are you in, etc.

There are a lot of good peeps on Facebook who might not know about this site. Honestly I think that’s how I found this group of people

But I posted the referral link to my facebook page...at least I think I did it correctly. Now we will see what happens. I'm not a big facebook person...I think the couple of people who follow me are mostly my kids, so not sure how many referrals this will generate!
