Fig Leaves

I read the thread about fig leaf crockpot chicken and now I'm interested in other recipes for fig leaves. Does anyone cook with fig leaves often and have recipes? What varieties have the best tasting leaves? I've got about 20 varieties, I wonder which ones taste the best.

Let us know how you like the tea when you get around to trying it. I've seen where you can purchase it online just never have before. Should be easy enough to make your own as well.

It is super easy to make the tea. I think it is best to allow the leaves to dehydrate first. Green leaves can add a grassy/vegetal flavor to the decoction. Just put the leaves in some water and simmer for a few minutes. Then remove from the heat and allow to steep for a while. You may find that you don't even need sweetener, but you will know when you taste it.

@ETXfigs ...did you ever try the crock pot recipe?
