Thanks for the info! Really appreciate it@AnaldoFigs I just purchased this Improved Celeste on Figbid Friday. $39.99. It’s being sold by Peaceful Heritage. There’s 12 more if you’re interested. That variety should do well in Texas. Here’s what the listing looks like.

I know absolutely nothing about bff and what treatment would entail for shipping. I’m dealing with my own pest issues.@bushdoctor82
If there were regulations then every Home Depot, or Lowe's that opens up wouldn't be spreading the disease further, and farther. So there's not much in regulation what I will do is go over the process with our moderators, and our administrator. and maybe yourself. Would that satisfy you ? I don't know that I'm going to commit to a completely public process. It will certainly be something far better than a bare root shipping. Which is often the current safeguarding.
@Figless Thank you so much for the info. I definitely understand the issue and your reasoning. Not to worry. Cuttings will be fine. I’ll just have to be more patient. I’m excited regardless of the new varieties to grow.@AnaldoFigs one of the moderators, and fig gazer himself have told me I cannot ship air layers outside of California. There are some lignified cuttings I will be Distributing when I get back to Berkeley CA. I am currently in Los Angeles. There will be a white Texas ever bearing, and a Heritage Celeste cutting's available both lignified. I may take a couple of varieties out of my refrigerator as well. Those will be available to ship. ATM or at the present moment my ability to help you will be limited. I may set up an indoor propagation Center in Berkeley CA to root green cuttings, but at the present time this does not exist. I'm very sorry about the air layers I wasn't thinking about the black fig fly. I am prohibited from Shipping air layers from California to a state outside of California.
Figless - can I ask you what is a Heritage Celeste... just wondering.@AnaldoFigs one of the moderators, and fig gazer himself have told me I cannot ship air layers outside of California. @AnaldoFigs If you want a regular Celeste, I have this one. It was a cutting this spring from my 3 year old that had 100 figs on it this season. I don't really want anything for it. It's just an extra. I think that I can ship it?

Put the pad on the soil and tape it down . Cut a couple bamboo stakes the same length as the box and tape them to the sides of the pot so it doesn't slide in the box. Put the pot stakes and all in a plastic bag with a couple paper towels on the bottom. Tape the bag to the pot to keep excess moisture from leaking out. I would ship 3 day UPS.I put that rooted cutting in a smaller pot to ship to @AnaldoFigs. I was going to ship it today but It is instantly wilting when I put in direct afternoon sunlight (it didn't wilt before repotting). I decided to wait until next Monday to let it get over transplant shock. It doesn't have the best roots and it's super hot here. I have never shipped a live plant. I have received some, so I have a pretty good idea how to package it, but is there anything I should know before sending it? The ones I received had packaging tape over the soil. I have duct tape, will that work or should I get some packaging tape? I have one of those round coco coir pads that came with my WM#1. Is it a good idea to put that over the soil and then tape it? How much should I water it prior to shipping? I know I have a lot of questions. Thanks in advance for any advice. AnaldoFigs, thank you for your patience.

I will usually put a damp paper towel on top of the pot and then put the whole thing in a produce bag to keep the tree moist. Stake the tree to a piece of bamboo and cut it to the length of the box to keep it from moving.I put that rooted cutting in a smaller pot to ship to @AnaldoFigs.
